Anna Paquin was born in Wellington, Manitoba. She grew up there. She was the first actress to make her acting debut in Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film Piano. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role, she won the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic comedy The Piano at the young age of 11. The actress is second youngest winner in Oscar history.
